Why & How
Multifamily Rendering: The Challenge and Our Approach
A multifamily render has to lease or sell many units from one building, so the exterior, the aerial and each unit type need to read as one consistent set.
The Challenge
The Problem We Solve
Why Apartment Rendering Matters
Leasing Starts Before the Building Exists
Prospects compare against finished buildings. Drawings do not show light, balconies or the street, and there is nothing to photograph yet.
Many Unit Types, One Brand
A studio, a two-bedroom and a penthouse each need a plan and a view. One studio keeps the style identical across all of them.
Lenders and Boards Want Proof
A clear exterior and aerial help a lender, an investor or a planning board read massing, parking and open space without decoding drawings.
Our Approach
How We Work
How We Build a Multifamily Image Set
Brief
Start From the Prospect
We ask who is leasing or buying, where the images will appear and which unit types matter, then build the view list around that.
- Hero exterior first, then supporting views
- Unit mix and finishes confirmed up front
- Website, brochure and signage formats agreed
Draft
A Draft You Can Mark Up
You see a draft early, so camera angle, light and landscaping can be corrected before final rendering.
- Draft view shared for markup
- Day or dusk direction confirmed
- Streetscape and planting checked against the site plan
Finals
Final Files for Every Channel
Two revision rounds are included. Finals come print-ready and web-optimized for the leasing site, listings and sales office.
- JPEG and TIFF as standard
- PNG and layered files on request
- Extra rounds at a pre-agreed rate

Multifamily Rendering Pricing and FAQ
Apartment renders are priced per image from $199 and floor plans from $149, and a full set is quoted together.
Investment Philosophy
Pricing
Apartment Render Pricing From $199 Per Image
Price depends on the number of views, scene complexity and source files. 3D floor plans start from $149. You get a clear quote before any work begins.
Get a QuotePer-Image Pricing
Still renders start from $199 per image. A $99 test image is available if you want to judge quality first.
Set Pricing
Views of the same building share one 3D scene, so a full launch set is planned and quoted together.
Revisions Included
Two rounds of revisions are part of every quote.
Common Questions
What does multifamily rendering cover?
Photorealistic images of apartment buildings, townhouse communities, condos and mixed-use blocks before they are built: the street-facing exterior, aerial views of the site, model-unit interiors, shared spaces such as lobbies and courtyards, and 3D floor plans for each unit type. Developers use them for pre-leasing, pre-sales, lender and investor decks, and planning.
How much does apartment rendering cost?
Renders start from $199 per image and 3D floor plans from $149. A multifamily launch set is quoted as a whole, because views of the same building share the 3D scene. You get a fixed quote before work begins.
Which views should a multifamily project order first?
Most schemes start with one strong exterior for the website and signage, add an aerial if the site, courtyard or parking layout is part of the pitch, then a model-unit interior and floor plans for the unit types on offer. We can suggest a view list from your drawings.
Can you do floor plans for every unit type?
Yes. Furnished 3D floor plans start from $149 per plan and keep the same style across the whole set, so a one-bedroom and a three-bedroom are easy to compare.
Do you render townhouses and mixed-use buildings as well?
Yes. Townhouse rows, duplexes, condo buildings and apartment blocks with ground-floor retail are all common briefs. Send the drawings and we will confirm the views at the quote stage.
What do you need from us?
Architect drawings or a 3D model (CAD, Revit or SketchUp), the unit mix, finishes and materials, site context and any reference images. If you only have 2D plans, we can build the 3D model in-house, which we confirm when we quote.
Can we test the quality first?
Yes. A $99 test image lets you judge the work on your own project before you order a full set.

Apartment and multifamily rendering for developers
Apartment developers lease and sell from images long before the first unit is finished. We produce the exteriors, aerials, unit interiors and floor plans for that stage, starting from your architect’s drawings. If you are putting together a wider marketing package, the same team also covers real estate rendering across home types, and prices are on the pricing page.
Apartment rendering by building type
- Apartment buildings and condos. Street-level exteriors with balconies, entrances and landscaping, such as the white balcony apartments and the mountain lodge apartments.
- Townhouse communities. Aerial and courtyard views of rows and clusters, such as this contemporary townhouse complex and A Community, from an Empty Field.
- Highrise towers. Skyline and street views for tower schemes, for example the highrise towers and four apartment towers read from a specification.
- Unit plans. A whole building presented unit by unit in the five-level residence floor plan set.

Aerial views and floor plans for the whole block
Courtyards, parking and the relationship to neighbours read best from above, so most multifamily sets include an aerial or masterplan view. Furnished 3D floor plans from $149 show each unit type next to the renders. For a sales suite, a virtual tour lets prospects walk a model unit in a headset. Teams with a steady flow of phases can ask about a dedicated artist, and US developers can read how a remote engagement works on our US page.
