In early 2026, 3D Praxis Studio was approached by a prominent architect based in the UK to create a series of exterior visualizations for a luxury single-story residential project. The client envisioned a modern home that harmonized with its natural surroundings while showcasing the elegance of stone accents. The project was straightforward but required a keen eye for detail to capture the essence of the design.
Ravi, a senior 3D artist with over eight years of experience at the studio, took the lead on this project. He collaborated closely with the architect to ensure that the visualizations accurately represented the intended materials and architectural features. The team worked diligently to incorporate the client’s feedback, making adjustments to the lighting and landscaping to enhance the overall presentation.
Throughout the process, the team utilized various tools, including 3ds Max and V-Ray, to achieve the desired photorealistic quality. The project timeline was tight, but the team’s experience and efficient workflow allowed them to deliver the final renders on schedule. Technical Approach
For this project, the team focused on achieving a realistic stone texture that would highlight the home’s modern aesthetic. Ravi employed a combination of V-Ray materials and custom shaders to replicate the unique characteristics of the stone. The lighting setup was designed to mimic natural daylight, enhancing the textures and creating soft shadows that added depth to the scene.
