Project Overview
In 2026, 3D Praxis Studio had the opportunity to collaborate with a client on the design of a farmhouse lodge retreat, nestled in a serene countryside setting. The project aimed to create an inviting atmosphere that would appeal to guests seeking relaxation and a connection with nature. The team, led by Amit, a senior 3D artist with extensive experience in hospitality visualization, worked closely with the client to understand their vision and requirements.
The client provided a basic architectural plan, and the team set out to enhance it through detailed exterior rendering. The goal was to capture the essence of the retreat, showcasing its rustic charm while ensuring it blended seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The project involved multiple iterations, with the client providing feedback on various elements such as color schemes, landscaping, and architectural features. Throughout the process, the team maintained open communication, ensuring that the final output aligned with the client’s expectations.
The final renderings highlighted the lodge’s wooden facade, expansive outdoor spaces, and inviting entryway, creating a sense of warmth and tranquility. Technical Approach
The technical approach for this project involved using 3ds Max and V-Ray to create photorealistic exterior renders. The team set up a soft, diffused light source to mimic the golden hour, which added warmth to the wooden materials and created long shadows that emphasized the architectural details. Additionally, ForestPack was utilized to populate the surrounding landscape with realistic vegetation, enhancing the overall aesthetic and grounding the lodge within its environment.
