No render made. Just an honest diagnosis. Send the render that didn’t land.
One recent render you weren’t fully happy with — yours, a past vendor’s, whatever's on hand. Reply with it and we’ll tell you exactly why it didn’t land: no cost, no render made, no obligation.
Why not just re-render it?
Most of our offers say the same thing: send a scheme, we’ll render it, free. This one starts one step later.
You already have the render. What you don’t have is the reason it isn’t working. A finished
image can be technically clean — right materials, right lighting engine, right resolution — and still not land,
for reasons that have nothing to do with technical quality. Naming that reason is a read we can give you without
touching the file.
What we’re actually looking for Three reasons a finished render doesn’t land — and it’s rarely the polish.
01 The hour
When the sun is too high to say anything
Straight-overhead sun is the safest choice and the flattest one — it lights every surface evenly and casts almost nothing. A frame like this can be technically correct and still not land, because the one thing missing is the shadow that would have told the eye which plane sits in front of which. The render isn’t wrong. The hour it was taken at just wasn’t doing any work.
02 The hierarchy
When nothing in frame is allowed to lead
A brick tower, a run of matching pendants at three different depths, a mezzanine rail, a patterned stone wall — each one is a legitimate focal point, and a frame that gives all of them equal weight asks the eye to choose. Usually it doesn’t land on the one thing you actually designed the room around. That’s not a materials problem or a lighting problem. It’s a "what is this frame actually about" problem.
03 The styling
When the props do the talking
Vaulted ceiling, matte-black joinery, a genuine material story on the cabinetry and hood — and a table dressed with enough glassware, greenery and open shelving styled with enough jars and baskets that a first look reads "cosy kitchen" before it reads the architecture at all. Staging is meant to help a render land, not compete with the thing it was hired to sell.
Set plainly, before you reply What this offer is — and isn’t.
We’d rather you know exactly what you’re asking for than send something and be surprised by the answer.
No render, no exception
We don’t re-render it, touch it up, or produce a "here’s how we’d fix it" comparison image. The diagnosis is written — what’s working against the frame, and why — based on the one you send.
One render, any source
Ours, a vendor’s, an in-house pass — it doesn’t matter who made it. We’re reading the frame, not auditing the studio behind it.
No obligation either way
If the read is useful and you want a second pair of eyes on the fix, good. If it isn’t, you still keep the read. Nothing about the reply commits you to anything.
The whole ask Reply with the one that didn’t land.
Attach it, screenshot it, or link it. We’ll come back with an honest, specific diagnosis — not a form answer,
and not a render.
Reply now Questions, answered straight What exactly do I send?
One recent render — yours, a past vendor’s, whatever you have to hand — that you looked at and weren’t fully happy with, even if you couldn’t say exactly why. A file, a screenshot, or a link is enough.
Will you re-render it to show me the fix?
No. That’s deliberate — the reply is a written diagnosis (what’s working against the frame, and why), not a rendered before/after. If you want an actual render made, our regular free-render offers cover that.
Does it have to be a render you commissioned from someone else?
No. It can be ours, a different studio’s, or something produced in-house. We’re reading the image on its own terms.
How fast is the reply?
A specific, honest read — not a form response — usually inside a couple of working days.
What if the honest answer is "the design, not the render"?
Then that’s what we’ll say. A render that faithfully shows a genuinely unresolved design decision isn’t a rendering problem, and we’d rather tell you that than sell you a re-shoot that wouldn’t fix it.
Does this commit me to hiring you?
No. The read is yours regardless. If it turns into a project, we’ll talk about that separately — nothing here is priced or upsold.
Know which one didn't land?
Reply with it — we'll send back an honest diagnosis, no render made and nothing owed either way.
