3D Architectural Animation Services for Presentation & Marketing
Cinematic 3D animations that guide viewers through your design — walkthroughs, flythroughs, and aerial sequences with considered pacing and narrative structure.
I am a:
What does an architectural animation studio do?
An architectural animation studio turns your drawings and 3D model into video that shows a building the way people will experience it. 3D Praxis Studio creates walkthroughs, flythroughs and aerial sequences from CAD, Revit or SketchUp files, reference images and material lists. Animation shows spatial flow and transitions between rooms, which still renders cannot convey, and it plays on any device without a headset. It suits client presentations, investor pitches and real estate marketing. We agree camera paths and key viewpoints with you, then deliver in rounds with your markups. We serve architects, developers and hospitality groups in the US, UK and Europe, with time-zone overlap in your morning.
3D Praxis Studio creates architectural walkthrough animations and flythrough videos that guide viewers through a building before it is built. Used for client presentations, investor pitches, and real estate marketing.

Architectural animation that tells your project’s story
A static render shows a moment. An animation shows a journey — through a streetscape, into a lobby, along a corridor, and into a living space. For marketing launches, investor presentations, and public consultations, architectural animation communicates spatial sequence and atmosphere in a way that stills alone cannot.
We produce cinematic 3D animations — walkthroughs, flythroughs, and aerial sequences — that guide viewers through your design with considered pacing, natural lighting, and a clear narrative structure.
Who this is for
- Property developers launching new projects with cinematic marketing content.
- Architects presenting design proposals to clients, committees, or competition juries.
- Real estate marketing agencies producing campaign video content.
- Public-sector teams communicating large-scale plans to communities and stakeholders.
Who uses animation most
Walkthroughs and flythroughs are most often commissioned by real estate developers and hospitality teams. Watch finished sequences on our architectural films page, or read our guide to the 3D walkthrough for how a walkthrough is planned and what it costs.
Animation alongside a still-image programme
A launch film is most useful when the stills and the video share one 3D scene, which is how US developers and UK schemes usually commission it. If you also need steady day-to-day production around the film, such as revisions and model clean-ups, a dedicated artist can carry that work, and the still-image options are on the architectural rendering services page.
Architectural animation pricing
Architectural animation starts from $1,500 per project, priced per project rather than per image. What moves the figure is the running length, the number of scenes and camera moves, and how much environment, crowd and vehicle detail the film needs. Two revision rounds are included and you receive a written quote before work starts.
If you are comparing studios, ask each for the same three things: what the storyboard stage costs, how many revision rounds are included, and which file formats you receive. Our answers are on the pricing page, and the stills that would sit next to the film are priced from $199 per image on the exterior rendering page.
Why & How
Architectural Animation: The Challenge and Our Approach
A film has to show how a building is approached, entered and lived in, so camera path, pacing and sound matter as much as the model.
The Challenge
The Problem We Solve
Why Architectural Animation Matters
Static Images Don't Convey Flow
A still render captures a single moment. It cannot communicate the experience of moving through a building — from street to lobby to living space. Animation fills that gap.
Spatial Relationships Lost
Plans and sections show rooms in isolation. Clients and investors cannot understand how spaces connect, how light changes through the day, or how a building relates to its surroundings.
Marketing Differentiation
In a competitive market, static imagery blends together. A cinematic architectural walkthrough positions your project as premium and gives your marketing campaign a centrepiece asset.
Presentation Impact
Investor presentations and competition submissions that rely on still images alone lose the opportunity to create an emotional connection with the audience.
Our Approach
How We Work
How We Produce an Architectural Animation
Camera
Camera Choreography
We plan camera paths that tell a story — approaching the building from the street, entering the lobby, rising through the atrium, and arriving at the key spaces. Every movement is intentional.
- Story-driven camera path planning
- Walkthrough and flythrough combinations
- Smooth easing and cinematic motion
- Key-moment framing for still extraction
Lighting
Lighting Sequencing
Animations can transition through time of day — morning to evening — or move between naturally and artificially lit spaces, creating atmosphere and variety within a single sequence.
- Time-of-day transitions
- Interior-to-exterior lighting shifts
- Artificial lighting mood control
- Golden-hour and blue-hour sequences
Pacing
Narrative Pacing
Speed, rhythm, and pause are planned to match the emotional arc of the project. We slow down for hero moments and maintain momentum through transitions.
- Tempo mapped to spatial hierarchy
- Pause on hero moments
- Smooth acceleration and deceleration
- Music-synced timing where applicable
Output
Output Optimization
Final animations are delivered in formats optimized for your use case — 4K for large-format presentation, compressed for web, and social-media-ready crops for campaigns.
- 4K resolution for events and presentations
- Web-optimized H.264 encoding
- Social media aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1)
- Still frame extraction for print

How It Works
Our Animation Production Process
An animation moves from storyboard and camera paths through scene lighting and rendering to edit, music and final delivery, with two revision rounds included.
Storyboard
We agree the route, length and key moments from your model and drawings, and lock a storyboard before any frames are rendered.
Animatic and draft
A low-resolution animatic shows camera moves and timing for review, then a first rendered draft follows.
Final render and delivery
After the included revision rounds the film is rendered at full quality and delivered in the formats you need.
Finished films
Watch the work in motion
Animations are produced in 3ds Max with Corona and V-Ray, and the 3ds Max scene files are handed over on payment.
Pricing & Questions
Architectural Animation Pricing and FAQ
Animation is priced from $1,500, and the final quote depends on length, camera complexity and post-production.

Fixed Quote
You receive a clear, all-inclusive price before work begins. The quote covers modelling, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, and sound design.
Scope-Matched
Pricing reflects the duration, complexity, and number of scenes. A 30-second single-building flythrough costs less than a 3-minute multi-scene narrative.
Revisions Included
Two rounds of revisions are built into every quote. Camera path adjustments, pacing changes, and material refinements are covered.
Common Questions
How long does it take to produce an architectural animation?
Production timelines vary based on scope. A 60-second animation of a single building typically requires 4-6 weeks from briefing to final delivery. Longer or more complex animations are quoted individually.
Can I use still frames from the animation for other marketing?
Yes. We routinely extract high-resolution still frames from animations for use in print, web, and social media. Let us know which moments are most important and we will optimise them as standalone images.
Do you provide raw footage or only the final edit?
We deliver the final edited and colour-graded animation. Raw scene files and unedited footage are not included as standard but can be arranged by prior agreement.
What is the difference between a walkthrough and a flythrough?
A walkthrough follows a human-height camera path, simulating the experience of physically moving through a space. A flythrough uses elevated or aerial camera paths to show context, scale, and site relationships from above. Many animations combine both.
Is voiceover or narration included?
Voiceover integration is available as an add-on. We can work with your supplied voiceover recording or recommend professional voiceover artists.
How much does an architectural animation cost?
Architectural animation starts from $1,500 per project. The price depends on the running length, the number of scenes and camera moves, and the amount of environment, crowd and vehicle detail. Two revision rounds are included and you get a written quote before work starts. See the pricing page.
