Project Overview
In 2026, 3D Praxis Studio had the opportunity to collaborate with a prominent architect based in the UK on a luxury residential project located on a hillside. The client envisioned a split-level home that would seamlessly integrate with the natural landscape while providing stunning views of the surrounding hills. The project, titled “Hillside Split Level,” required a careful balance between modern design and the rustic charm of the environment.
The team, led by senior visualizer Ketan, began by analyzing the architectural plans and understanding the client’s vision. The goal was to create an exterior rendering that not only showcased the unique features of the home but also highlighted its relationship with the landscape. The project involved extensive discussions with the client to ensure that every detail was captured accurately. The team worked diligently to incorporate elements such as large glass windows, wooden accents, and a terraced garden that would enhance the overall aesthetic.
Throughout the process, the team utilized their expertise in architectural visualization to bring the project to life. With over 660 projects completed since the studio’s founding in 2010, the experience of the team proved invaluable in navigating the challenges that arose during the project. The collaborative efforts of the team members, including Ravi, Priya, Neha, Amit, Shruti, Vikram, and Tanvi, ensured that the final renderings met the client’s expectations and reflected the essence of the design.
Technical Approach
To achieve the desired look for the “Hillside Split Level” project, the team employed 3ds Max and V-Ray for rendering. A key technical detail was the use of a custom lighting setup that mimicked the warm glow of the late afternoon sun, casting soft shadows across the façade. The team also utilized ForestPack to create realistic vegetation around the property, enhancing the integration of the home with its natural surroundings. The camera setup was strategically positioned to capture both the architectural details and the panoramic views, ensuring a comprehensive representation of the project.
The Result
The final exterior render successfully conveyed the harmony between the luxury residence and its hillside setting, impressing the client with its realism and attention to detail. The project not only met the client’s expectations but also reinforced the studio’s reputation for delivering high-quality architectural visualizations.
