Project Overview
We approached Contemporary Backyard Pool Entertaining knowing the luxury home designer had a tight window and high expectations. 3 exterior views needed to cover eye-level exterior, high angle looking down, eye-level interior-looking-out perspectives — and each one had to stand on its own.

The Challenge
One of the trickier aspects was environmental context. A building doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and placing this luxury home design convincingly into its Salt Lake City, UT surroundings required careful attention to vegetation, street furniture, lighting conditions, and neighbouring structures.
The biggest hurdle was fidelity at scale. With 3 compositions to produce, we couldn’t afford to let quality drift between the first render and the last. Every image needed to feel like it came from the same visual universe.
Our Approach
We started where we always start: with the drawings. Every wall thickness, every material notation, every site boundary got translated into the 3D model before we touched a single texture or light.
Camera positions were planned, not improvised. We mapped out eye-level exterior, high angle looking down, eye-level interior-looking-out angles based on the project’s strongest design moments, then refined framing through a series of grey-shaded test renders before committing to final production.
Material selection was hands-on. We sourced textures from manufacturer libraries and matched them against the specification documents. Where specs were ambiguous, we sent samples to the luxury home designer for sign-off before rendering.
The Result
Production closed within 2-3 weeks. The hero image is now the signature visual for Contemporary Backyard Pool Entertaining, and the supporting gallery views have been deployed across the luxury home designer’s marketing channels.
